Principal's Message

From the Office of
Sheri Weinstein, Principal

Dear Families,

Welcome to Grant School where each day is “A good day to have a good day!”

Grant School is a K-5 building with an enrollment of just under 500 students. It is a place where educators and families work together to create a warm and nurturing learning environment.

Our instructional programs are all research based and correlated with the New Jersey Learning Standards. Our curriculum is reviewed and revised on a consistent basis. Our dedicated teachers are passionate about delivering instruction in a way that unlocks the true potential of each child. Support programs such as Basic Skills, English as a Second Language, Speech and Enrichment help individualize to the needs of each student. Integrating technology effectively with the use of Chromebooks, I-pads and Smartboards positively impacts students’ educational experiences.

We continue to proudly provide student engagement outside the classroom with a variety of programs. The student government, safety patrol, recess coaches, and peer mediators allow for student leadership opportunities. While The Owl Times, our school newspaper, enables students to become creative news reporters. Art and music talents are showcased during our school-wide art show, band and chorus concerts.

Our wonderful PTO is an important part of the Grant School community. These hard working volunteers support our students in a variety of ways. Together, we plan programs throughout the year which include: Assemblies, Book Fairs; Holiday Celebrations; Pre-K Story Hour; Healthy Breakfast/Snack Days; and The End of the Year Birthday Celebration.
